This summer, Micaela’s Army Foundation and the 1 Million 4 Anna Foundation are joining forces in the fight against pediatric cancer by bringing you a night of laughter! Don’t miss out on talent from Second City in Chicago and other local comedians!

Anna Basso and Micaela White’s friendship began when both girls were seven years old. During their junior year of high school, both lives were forever changed. First, Anna was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma. A year later, Micaela was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. For several months the girls spent time together in the hospital sharing an experience others could only imagine. While in the hospital in the midst of recovery from her bone marrow transplant, Micaela learned that Anna had passed away, after chemo could not stop the progression of her disease. Just two months later, Micaela developed complications related to her treatment and passed away. Friends of both young women attended two funerals in the summer of 2011 before heading off to college.

Two foundations were formed to honor each of their young lives.

Meet our Talent!

A Chicago-based improve team comprised of Carter D’Angelo, Molly Ledbetter and David Tarantino, all who trained at IO Chicago, home of long form improvisation.

These three friends met when they were all invited to a mansion for a dinner party. After the host for the evening was mysteriously murdered, they were forced to join forces with the butler and maid of the estate to find out whodunit.

"EPIC"- Ensen Perkus Idiot Circus

Ensen and Perkus have put together an excellent and idiotic group of performers to bring short-form improv fun and games that have been made popular by the show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”. They’ll be looking for audience suggestions, lines of dialogue as well as volunteers! Who knows, maybe you’ll get to laugh on stage with the Ensen Perkus Idiot Circus.

Aaron Aryanpur

Aaron Aryanpur

Our headliner!

Funniest Comic in Texas 2012 Winner Aaron Aryanpur has appeared in comedy clubs, theaters, colleges, festivals, arenas, bars, boardrooms and (literally) living rooms across the country. Recently making his national TV debut on FOX’s Laughs and a frequently requested comedian and headliner in his own right, Aaron was also a Semifinalist in both Comedy Central’s Up Next Talent Search and NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity. His album In Spite Of (through Stand Up! Records) debuted at #7 on the iTunes Comedy Chart and quickly reached #1. The following week, it placed on the Billboard Comedy Albums Top 10.

With over ten years of experience on numerous stages and a background that includes writing, performing, improvisation and voice-over, Aaron delivers laughs show after show with his unique perspective and expressive, likeable delivery. His show has been called “controlled, engaging, open and vulnerable; ultimately, he’s relatable and very funny.”

"Coach" John Anthony

"Coach" John Anthony

Our Emcee!

is the PE Coach at Prince of Peace Catholic School in Plano, TX and he is also a writer and actor himself! He is special to these two Foundations because he was both Anna and Micaela’s gym coach when they attended school at Prince of Peace. We are honored he has remained dedicated to honoring both of these young girls’ lives.

Today. Tomorrow. Until it’s gone.

The 1 Million 4 Anna Foundation sincerely appreciates the generous support of our mission for the past eight years (2012-2019). We have concluded our fundraising efforts and are in the process of determining final funding decisions. Stay tuned for those announcements in the first quarter of 2020. Thank you
